Director
Tena Sunde joined the Estherville Public Library staff in November of 2011 after 10 years as Director of the Milford Memorial Library. She holds a B.A. in English with a Humanities Minor from Chadron State College in Chadron, NE, and has been a level IV Certified Librarian in the State of Iowa since 2002.
Sunde has served on the Executive Board of the Iowa Library Association, and as a past president of the national Association for Rural & Small Libraries.
Her daughter attends South Dakota State University and her son attends the ELC school system. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, hiking, home improvement projects, collecting craft supplies for projects she rarely finishes, and (of course) reading.
She welcomes requests and recommendations for materials and programming you'd like to see at the library.
