Interlibrary Loan

The Estherville Public  Library strives to build a collection of books, DVDs, and other materials based on the needs and desires of our community.  We appreciate recommendations and purchase requests from our patrons, but due to limited budgets it's simply not possible to buy everything that is published.  However, the Estherville Public Library does participate in state-wide sharing of library materials This is called inter-library loan. Our library uses SILO Interlibrary loan to lend and borrow items from other Iowa libraries.

 Loan periods may vary based on the type of material requested, but most items may be kept for up to 4 weeks.  Staff will inform you of the loan period when you pick up items.  Items are delivered on Mondays through the IAShares delivery system, provided by the State Library of Iowa.
